Foxconn and Nvidia to Establish $1.4B AI Data Center in Taiwan by 2026
Foxconn and Nvidia are collaborating on a $1.4 billion AI data center in Taiwan, slated for completion in early 2026. The facility will feature Taiwan's largest advanced GPU cluster, designed for intensive AI workloads requiring high power efficiency and low-latency systems. Nvidia's Blackwell GB200 chips will power the center, which is expected to consume 27 megawatts.
Nvidia VP Alexis Bjorlin emphasized the rising costs of standalone compute facilities, suggesting that renting resources may offer better ROI and scalability. The project underscores Foxconn's strategic pivot from iPhone assembly to AI infrastructure and electric vehicles, with partnerships including OpenAI and Uber signaling its ambitious scale.
